Bern Airport is served by direct flights from several European cities (Bern Airport flights). On landing in Bern, take a taxi; or the bus to Belp train station and S-Bahn train to Bern main railway station. Then change to tram No. 9 in the direction of ‘Wankdorf Bahnhof’ to the ‘Kursaal’ stop.
Alternatively, the closest major international airport is Zurich airport. From Zurich airport to Bern it is 1 hour 15 minutes by train.
By public transport
Bern is located in the heart of Switzerland and easy to reach by public transport.
From Bern main railway station the No. 9 tram departs at approximately 10-minute intervals in the direction of ‘Wankdorf Bahnhof ‘. Travel time to the ‘Kursaal’ stop is approximately 5 minutes.
Motorway exit Bern-Wankdorf – straight ahead direction “Zentrum” – in Papiermühlestrasse take the right lane – at the third crossroads turn right into Viktoriastrasse – at Viktoriaplatz turn left into Kornhausstrasse. Climate in Berne
In spring the daytime temperature range is 8 to 15 °C (46° – 59° F). March to May the trees blossom and the meadows turn green. Sometimes in April the winter returns for a short period and sometimes there are summer conditions as early as May. Precipitation is distributed over the entire year.
